1995 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.2
Summary:
Cheap and fairly reliable commuter
Faults:
Ignition module went at 100000.
Wipers stop in the up position 120000.
Windshield washer motor died at 110000.
Wheel bearing replaced at 130000.
General Comments:
I commute 120 miles a day at 70 plus MPH. The car gets about 33 MPG and hasn't had too many problems, although the ignition modules are expensive. The car is good in snow and rain with proper tires. There is no rust and paint still looks good. I could do $2500 in repairs and still be cheaper than a corolla... sorry, but true toyota people.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

It seems that these cars work better as they get older. I've found that people who bought the car before 2000 hated it, and people that bought the car afterwards loved it. Very interesting. Personally, I bought the car in 2005 and love it so far... except for the head gasket repair.
