1988 Chevrolet Celebrity Station Wagon 2.8 M.P.F.I.
Summary:
One quick grocery getter
Faults:
Basic maintenance items, oil changes, tune ups, front pads and machined rotors.
The car had an oil leak when we got it, at first we thought it was an oil pan gasket come to find out the rear (right bank) exhaust gasket was leaking th oil.
General Comments:
The car has got good pick-up.
I have actually raced a few kids with it and buried the needle, in a station wagon.
The cabin is fairly comfortable and when it comes up to accessability there isn't much you can't reach from the drivers seat.
We got the car four months ago and have put 17,000 miles on it since and it just keeps going.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I feel the same way. Good pick-me up and easy accessibility from the front, and still keeps on going, even though it is an 88.
My Celebrity has the best gas mileage out of all my cars. My other three cars are: a 2002 F-150 Ford, a Pontiac 88, and an old clunker 57 Chevrolet. Only problems with my 2.8L, V6, Euro sport was the power steering unit and turning signal switch. Pretty much inexpensive repairs for a car that has been driven over 200,000 miles.
To top it all off, the Celebrity has an almost perfect, but a little faded paint job.
