General Comments:
I love my Impala!!! I purchased in April 2007. Had 5700 miles on it (demo). Sexy red color. Great car for the money. Many options. Did purchase the extended warranty from GM that kicks in after my new car warranty expires. My previous car was a 2005 Chevy Malibu Classic. Enjoyed that car as well. Purchased used, with 32,000 miles on it. Always wanted the Impala after GM changed the design.
Though I have had minor things that needed to be replaced, none of it has cost me anything. I am diligent with keeping up with maintenance. May be "throwing away" money by taking it to the dealership, but I trust them with my car since I did purchase it from them. My service department is first class with customer satisfaction. I have enjoyed my Impala, and hope to have it for awhile.
Many reviewers write bad comments about the manufacturer (GM or Chevrolet) just because they have a not so good experience with a particular car. We must take in consideration that not all cars are created equal. Some times there are lemons with all manufacturers, and sometimes there are cars that are lacking in quality, yet another car from the same manufacturer will be almost flawless. Remember, these cars are man-made. They aren't really built to last forever anyway. Most people now don't keep cars past 5 years before they trade them in. That's including the imported cars as well. Overall, I enjoy my Impala and hope that this review helps someone. I am neither pro- Chevrolet or pro-Import, I just purchase what I like and can afford. I understand that everyone will not like it, but it's worth checking out.

Sounds like you have a bad Chevy dealer. Sorry. The trim might be loose from the techs taking it off to check out your electrical issues... just a thought.
