2006 Chevrolet K3500 3500 duramax
Summary:
FORD?? what happen GM!
Faults:
Fuel pumps!
At 3500 miles!
At 4000 miles! maybe a defect?
At 6200 miles!
At 10450 miles!
And again recently at 11400 miles!! dealer says its because I live on gravel roads... O. K well I've owned diesel pickups since the 80's and never had problems like this!
My last one was a 97'k3500 and never a problem! I'm a cattle hauler that's why I like the diesel and the duel wheels, I thought well maybe it's a lemon! but after talking to other friends that have the same truck say they have problems like this too!!
VERY disappointed with GM! oh also had a head gasket go at 5600 miles and rear end gears made a grinding noise and had to be replaced!! dealer said its what I haul!! are you kidding me!! I used to have a '76 Cheyenne 350 c I that hauled the same weight and never a problem!
Do not use the radio because it never worked right! turns on and shuts off?? ETC...
Hate to say it, but I've owned GM trucks for over 30 yrs and hearing from a LOT of people that the ford F-350 is the ticket!! so I think I'll trade it in next month! I'll be driving a ford!! WHAT HAPPEN GM!!
General Comments:
Great looking truck hands down, but for the diesel package K3500 NEVER AGAIN!!
And dealer service! JOKE, they don't know the difference from a Phillips screw driver to a standard? its pretty sad, but hopefully ford will help me.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

You may be out of luck. Look at the 350 reviews here. Not to good. Ford is going to a 6.4L twin turbo so new Eng. Maybe new problems. Dodge is supposed to change Eng's also. Last I heard was a 7L. I may be wrong on size, but they are supposed to up Eng size.
