Faults:

Cracked rear spring.

Rear breaks wearing badly.

A tie-rod end is in bad shape.

Struts are shot.

Driver door handle broke due to human stupidity.

Pulls to the left.

Panel cover for windows broken.

Console has hidden damage due to not wanting to waste money on CD player installation.

General Comments:

These are all problems that must have been present when I got the car. So far nothing has happened while -I- was driving it.

The car was borrowed from me and driven 100 plus highway miles everyday for several months.

When I got the car it handled nicely. I could do 20 over no problem. Now it's become evident that I risk an accident trying to take turns over the speed limit.

At 226,000 miles, I maintain complete confidence in my Lumina.

Maybe good, maybe bad - lots of heat. The engine might be producing too much, or that's how it should be. Not really sure to be honest. In Michigan, a car that warms up fast is an asset.

Faults:

Bad alternator when purchased.

Bad suspension when purchased.

Bad battery when purchased.

Seats worn, interior cloth faded.

General Comments:

After all the problems from pre-purchase were taken care of, this was an excellent car!

Engine is quite powerful and gets awesome gas mileage for its size (up to 30 mpg on a V6!).

Suspension system is beyond great.

Really good factory speakers.

Drove great until somebody decided he didn't have to look ahead while driving (crash bent the bejesus out of the front driver's side, wheel crooked, barely drivable).

Faults:

I bought the car in July this year and about a month after I had the car I had to replace the drivers side rear wheel bearing and the fuel filter.

After about 2 months of owning this car I found out that my gas gauge is wrong and is off by about 1/4.

Not even owning this car 3 months I started having a different problem... this car started to "die" when I would be stopped or even when I was driving. I still have this problem because not even my mechanic can find what is wrong.

I also have a power steering fluid leak in the engine.

My dash rattles because a screw has broken and fallen out from somewhere underneath the dash.

General Comments:

This car has very good pick up with speed and is good on gas. I have hit 2 deer with this car and I have fixed what was damaged and you can't even tell it was in an accident.

The paint has chipped off a bit.. but that's nothing not to be expected. There is very little rust and is a good car.

It handles very well and is very quiet.

The front seats are very comfortable. But the back seat is a little small.

Faults:

Light bulb on 3rd brake light, passenger 'door lock' light bulb, and passenger front turn signal light bulb all at 86,000 miles.

Oil leak at 96,000 miles.

Passive restraint module shorted at 99,000 miles.

Kinked brake booster hose at 100,000 miles.

Anti-Lock light and Brake light constantly stay lit once you start driving the car, which means the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is malfunctioning, at 100,000 miles.

Replaced transmission range switch at 101,000 miles.

General Comments:

The Lumina Z34 drives and handles extremely well with its very powerful 3.4 Liter Twin Dual Cam V6.

It has a lot of power, especially at high speeds like on the highway.
