1997 Chevrolet Malibu LS 3.1
Summary:
I think that it is a very reliable midsized ar which didn't cost as much as others in its class
Faults:
The rotors needed to be replaced every time the brakes did, around every 25,000 miles.
The ABS sensor went out at 85,000 miles and required an entire new wheel hub assembly.
Radio lost reception strength at 110,000 miles.
Engine gasket leak around 150,000 miles.
General Comments:
The car's engine always ran well, even with 171,000 miles.
The biggest problem is the constant need to replace the rotors. Apparently, they are too thin to be turned down.
The car still handles very well, but the seats become uncomfortable on long trips.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Your car must be a 1997, not a 1996; the identical Chevrolet Malibu and Oldsmobile Cutlass were both introduced for 1997.
