1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 3.4
Summary:
Great car to buy if you like power and handling and don't mind spending a few grand in repairs
Faults:
Transmission went bad. Seals leak and torque converter also went bad. Heard 1995 had a faulty transmission design.
Leaked oil from the manifold gasket.
Cheap plastic console lid broke.
Idle is funny when first starting the car. Jumps to 2000 rpms then drops to 1000 rpms after a few seconds.
Uses a lot of gas.
Engine is a little noisy.
General Comments:
This car has above average power for a v6. Has quick acceleration on bottom and top end.
The interior is nicely laid out. All gauges and controls are easy to read and find except for the horn. Very comfortable ride.
Car handles very well on corners on any road conditions. Has almost no body roll and grips the road well at any speed.
Very sporty look. Looks and handles like a true sports car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Could you please tell me how you got rid of the high idle and then almost stalling out. My car seems to have the same starting problems that I have read about here on this site.
