2003 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 5.3 V8
Summary:
Great truck with many years to go
Faults:
In the last year and a half, the only things I have done are replace the instrument cluster, and a wheel bearing. There are a few other things going like the oil pan gasket and some random sensors, but all in all, it is a great truck.
General Comments:
The 5.3L V8 is a great engine, tons of power, and plenty of room for friends and family.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Making a statement like, "I'll never buy American again" after one poorly made America car is something like saying "I'll never vote for another president because the one in office is perfoming poorly. If 1 of your "American" children comes up poorly, you would not wish for a foreign child would you? You would wish you had other American children to make you proud.
All OEMs have more than one model. Some models are better than others, and some vehicles of 1 model are better than others. I've owned both foreign and American cars. I had a VW Jetta once that was a poor performer. I could not afford to fix it. So I sold it and bought American. Then the wife wanted a new car. I did not curse all Foreign (German) cars or all American cars for an problems I had. Guess want I drive now; another VW and it runs beautifully! Forgiveness is a powerful verb, no exceptions...
Best of luck to you and those you love. --GCC.
