Faults:

Replaced transmission at 102,000 miles, have to love teenage sons and racing mom's car.

Heater controls went out twice, $35.00 fix each time with replacements from the junk yard. Heat would come on randomly and not shut off. Not a big issue in winter, but happened in summer both times.

Power antenna stopped working around 100,000 miles, easy inexpensive fix.

At 180,000 miles, replaced steering knuckle on driver's side.

Other than the transmission, have had no major problems with this car. Just regular maintenance issues.

Paint is just now starting to show signs of oxidation. Will be replacing door seals this spring as they are starting to break apart. Interior is also starting to show signs of her age, leather seats are starting to have little cracks.

General Comments:

Bought this car used in 2004, only paid $3500.00 and it was the best investment I've ever made. Even when the new cars in the drive won't start... she will.

Everything still works on her. Replaced stereo, not because it didn't work, but just to have a CD player.

The car handles great in snow and has plenty of power. Still has great gas mileage for a V6.

Seats are comfortable for long trips, and she offers plenty of leg room, even in the back seat. Trunk is huge. Only wish they had provided access from the back seat.

Of the eight cars I've purchased, this is the only one I purchased used, and it has been the best for performance, comfort, and value.

Faults:

Thermostat (car overheated).

A/C never worked.

Fuel gauge doesn't work.

Faulty ignition switch (replaced it).

Starter went out (only clicked - had to let it click 200 times to start it - replaced starter and battery/cables).

Front end pops when turning in the cold weather.

Engine just started to idle really rough.

Engine head gasket leaks.

The rubber door trim falls off the rear doors every time I open them.

Handles very good at 60-70 MPH on the interstate.

If you want a good car for long trips, this car is a good pick with decent mpg (I get about 26 on the highway).

I have forked out big bucks on this car. As long as you are dumping money in parts on it, then it will keep running.

If you're starting to have transmission troubles, put a for sale sign on it.

This car lures you in with its good looks and says I'm gonna break down, I'm gonna break down, Na Na Na Na Na Na Ha Ha Ha Sucker!!

Faults:

*Heat turns on at will (usually when it is hot outside)

* car started burning oil at about 207,000 miles. It smokes and smells bad, but still runs as long as I keep oil in it. Had it looked a few times, one mechanic said there was nothing he could do because of the high mileage. Another said it would cost about $300

* brakes have been replaced repeatedly

*interior on ceiling of car is coming down

*driver side seat won't go up

*passenger side door needs to be unlocked and opened at same time.

General Comments:

* This car runs great for how high the mileage is

*The seats are comfy and there is lots of leg room.

* The Concorde gets pretty good gas mileage, about 26 mpg

* Very nice looking when cleaned up.
