1993 Chrysler Concorde 3.3 litre
Summary:
The money monster
Faults:
The ignition timing sensor cracked after two weeks of owning the car.
The air conditioner never worked for me. I took it in to get an estimate on the cost of repair and was told that the high pressure lines were bad. It was going to cost me over $500.00 for parts and labour, so I endured the heat.
I had to replace the camber and caster kits and buy new tires due to that fact.
All of the ball joints had to be replaced.
I had to replace the knob control center.
The transmission was rebuilt at a cost of about $1200.00.
The trim on the rear passenger side door came off due to rusting bolts.
The back portion of the trunk has rusted away, I tried to remove the rust, but was unsuccessful because it was rusting from the inside out. The trunk is relatively cheap from a junkyard, if you don't mind two keys.
The engine idles terribly rough, I put it in neutral to reduce the vibration when I have have stopped the car. (ie street lights)
The headlights could not be adjusted because the adjusting screws broke the plastic housing of the lights. (both sides)
The driver side door handle was loose. I had to turn and hold the key and open the door at the same time. If I didn't do this the door would just lock when I tried to open it.
The hydraulic arms for the hood are no longer working properly, I have to prop open the hood with a broom; if its handy.
General Comments:
The car is spacious and fairly comfortable.
Highway use is the best place for this car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I just bought one in June, it looked like a nice comfortable car. I make a lot of long trips. I should have never got it!! the transmission died as soon as I got it, had it replaced, and this new transmission is shifting horribly. A/C never worked. Had to replace thermostat. Replaced all breaks. Ball joints needed to be replaced leaks a tonne of oil. I have no idea what I'm going to do with this piece of crap, I just bought another jetta. I might as well give the concord to my little brother for a field car.

I bought a 1993 Chrysler Concorde a year ago because I thought it was roomy and real nice, with leather seats.
But a few days after I got it the overheating problem began and it lost coolant and I didn't know where it was going.
Left me stranded many times.
I got rid of that junky thing!I won't ever buy another one.
