Faults:

Not much!! A plastic shield broke off the front hood, and the drivers door fell off the track once; that's about it, it's like brand new.

General Comments:

I know these Chrysler engines (2.7) have trouble with the timing chain and sludge, but I have used all synthetic Mobil 1 oil and change it all the time. I added one extra quart of oil to keep the timing chain well lubricated.

The car runs and drives like brand new, and still looks and smells new inside. Fully loaded luxury at a very good price.

Very quiet and feels solid on the road; it feels like you are sitting still on the driveway even when at high speeds.

Excellent sound system and cool retro dash guages with silver trim.

One of the best driving experiences I have ever had!! I didn't even give this car a second thought after I test drove it. I like it that much.

If you can find a nice clean one, get it!! It's a very low maintenance vehicle and you get excellent gas mileage!!

Faults:

Complete air conditioning rebuild at around 90,000 km, outside of warranty. Transmission rebuilt not once, but twice, the 2nd time outside of warranty. Windshield wipers will not work on occasion. The engine service light comes on intermittently, even after having it serviced numerous times {several modules and sensors changed}. Ball joint needing replaing on the front passsenger side. First complete tuneup required at 70,000 km, well short of what was suggested in manual.

General Comments:

Seating comfortable and significant space in back seats and truck.

Still have original battery and exhaust system.

First set of tires lasted 100,000 km.

Faults:

Weatherstrips the inside of the car where the doors close in have had some shrink issues, worst in the rear left side. Others are shrinking also, but none are of crucial importance, and no leaking has been discovered.

Front Rt Ball bearing replaced shortly after purchase (111,000k miles)

Minor cosmetic abrasions on inside of car, left side of control console. Unsure of cause.

General Comments:

To any reader here, I would not have purchased this car, or any Chrysler/Dodge with the 2.7L engine. From what I've read across many models, and many different reviewers, and many mechanics even, is that the 2.7 is a time bomb. That being said, my 3.2L has performed fantastically, even through a very harsh Northeastern winter.

The first VERY surprising thing about this vehicle, (which is evident due to the trip computer in the car) is that it gets extremely good gas mileage. My average MPG is -never- less than 28, and I am very regularly between 32 and 42mpg on the highway (depending on the slope). It's almost uncanny for being a family size sedan with a fair amount of pickup.

As for the pickup, it's there, but it's not a racer. It's comfortable to pass in, and seems to accelerate more easily from 45 to 70 than 0 to 45. Regardless, I have NO issues with the performance of this car. I have actually had it up to 110mph on one long open stretch of road, and there was no shaking whatsoever. The concorde, at least the 3.2L LXi, is a capable machine.

It is a roomy, comfortable ride with climate control in my particular vehicle. The only thing I'm not fond of is the wind noise that seems to be ever present. It's not overpowering, but it is noticeable. Not uncommon, from what I've read.

If you're in the Northeast, this is a great buy. In fact, it's a good buy if you're anywhere snowy at all. I put two snows on the front wheels, and I could literally drive through six inches of snow (and did so occasionally) without any traction issues. No problems going 65/70 on snow covered highways. Very impressive.

Overall, the only issue I could think of would be having to go directly to the dealer for certain parts (weatherstripping). But even then, I haven't had much experience with failure.

Additional bonus: No donut spare, you get a full size monster.

I would recommend this car to anyone, and I get goosebumps when I approach it in a parking lot. I'm young, and I'm THRILLED to have a car this sleek and stylish at my age. I had been driving a very comfortable 94 Park Avenue (which felt like driving a very nice recliner), but this is on a different level style-wise. I've taken several 8 hour drives from NY to VA, and I've never been uncomfortable.

If you can get one of these (Make SURE it's the 3.2L) cheap, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
