1991 Chrysler New Yorker
Summary:
They don't make cars like they used to
Faults:
The serpentine belt constantly came off, and I had the belt tensioner pulley replaced, but it will still fall off when I go through large puddles.
The AC went out, and it used to struggle going up hills, but replacing a spark wire solved those problems.
There was a gas leak in one of the injector hoses.
The radio also went out, but being so old this was expected.
General Comments:
Got this car from my grandfather when I turned 16, and it still runs great! It's had its share of problems, but it has a smooth ride and is quite roomy. My grandfather kept the body in excellent condition. The odometer was broken when I received it but it has well over 300K on it.
I'm buying a new car now that I am driving back and forth to college an hour away, but my younger brother is going to get it next year.
All in all, it's had a few problems, but this car is extremely reliable.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
