Faults:

Brakes have been replaced. I call that minimal.

General Comments:

This is a 1996 Chrysler Sebring JXI.

I have the problem with the dash, but that's not a big deal. I have seen worse!

I replaced my brakes last year, and paid $45.00 for a battery (THIS REPLACED THE ORIGINAL, I BELIEVE).

So all in all, it's not that bad!

When I bought it from a used car sales lot; they took the car to the dealership, and had every recall that this car had on it fixed.

So I got lucky!!! I only drive it in the warm months, and store it in the winter. Drive a Cadillac in the winter.

Faults:

Nothing other than normal maintenance.

General Comments:

This is the best car I've ever owned.

I have over 220,000 miles and I am confident it will go another 100,000 if maintained as well as I have.

I have maintained this car extremely well, and it still has most all of the original motor parts.

I did have to replace the radiator.

Faults:

Brake pads.

Brake master cylinder.

Drain holes clogged.

Infinity system had to be rewired.

General Comments:

I don't blame anything on the make of the car. After all, it does have a lot of miles on it, and it's over 10 years old. Besides, all of this has been fixed by my husband and has cost us very little money.

I drive over 40 miles a day, gas mileage is awesome, the car is very reliable, super strong, I love it.

Faults:

Odometer quit at 70,000.

Transmission started slipping at 90,000.

Speaker covers on front door got smashed at 50,000.

Windows leak when in heavy rain at 50,000.

Flywheel changed at 80,000.

General Comments:

The seats in the front are comfy.

The speaker covers on the front door are positioned in a bad place, feet tend to push the door open all the way from there, resulting in broken speaker covers.

Seat covers? Forget it, way too much work, you have to remove the seat belt from underneath the trim on the side of the seat, and cut the cover for the seatbelt that's in the middle of the seat.

The holes for the pins on the flywheel are supposed to be circles; these were oval instead.

The windows leak right where the top joins the front window under heavy rain, and will soak your lap, not to mention if you smoke, you cannot crack the window without a stream pouring onto your leg.

The transmission started slipping after about 90,000 miles with regular maintenance/fluid changes.

Faults:

Numerous things, mostly suspension and brakes.

General Comments:

Problems with IP intermittent? Simple fix. The board needs to be removed. Look for hot spot about center of the board. The solder joints are inadequate, overheat. Just re-solder all components in the immediate "hot" looking area.

Faults:

Starter solenoid (replaced under warranty.)

Top hydraulic cylinder.

General Comments:

Have owned since new 2 sets front pads in 98,000 and a battery.

Only issue not covered by warranty was cylinder for top.

Car looks like new no problems with interior (its leather)

Only on second set of tires battery was only $60 bucks at dealer including the install.

All that's been done other than oil change is brake pads, which I do myself.

It's the quietest convertible I've been in.
