1996 Chrysler Town and Country LXI 3.8
Summary:
It's made it 10 years and is still going!!
Faults:
I think that out of all the cars we have had, this is the best. We bought this right before Christmas, and since then, it's been going strong. When we bought it, the dealer said it was a 97, The key chain with the information said it was a 95. My uncle who is a mechanic ran a search of the VIN # and found out it's a 96. This scared us because we have family who had a 96 Caravan, and the Transmission blew twice. Ours hasn't gone yet, but I have a feeling it will soon. The only major problems are the CV joints, when you hit 20 mph. The passenger side, vibrates badly, but when you reach 40 it stops. Of course being a white van, and us living in Florida, the paint on the car is bad! The driver side of the hood has lost almost all paint, so it has a big grey spot about 2 1/2 feet long! The inside is in great condition, all leather seats, (not my favorite for Florida), All the gauges work, air works surprisingly. It has a brand new radio. The windshield wipers front and back need to be replaced, but that's what Rain-ex is for. All in all A very comfortable, and reliable van for a 96. Wish us luck!
General Comments:
This is a reliable van, for its year, paint could use a new coat though.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The town and country only has a 3.3 liter v6 or a 3.8 v6.
