2012 Dodge Avenger SXT 2.4
Summary:
Great car. Each one is better than the last
Faults:
Nothing.
General Comments:
Smooth riding and plenty of interior room for legs and head.
I love the heated seats in the cold weather.
Great interior workmanship and design.
Great pickup for a 4 cylinder.
Transmission can be shifted manually (auto-stick).
Quiet cabin, even at highway speeds.
Handles very well.
Has traction control, which helps with driving in snow.
Easy to use dash controls.
Steering wheel has controls for cruise control and radio.
The car has remote start, which is great in NY winters.
Gas mileage is good so far - engine not yet broken in, so I know it will get better.
City MPG has been around 20 (winter) and around 29 highway so far... EPA says 21 city and 31 highway.
My 2010 Avenger was good for 22 city and 36.5 highway (4 speeds). The 2012 Avenger has 6 speeds, so I expect to get even better gas mileage when the car nears 10,000 miles on the odometer.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I was interested in reading a review of the Avenger. I act as a buyer consultant to friends looking for cars, and I am not very familiar with the Avenger. I had no idea how affordable these cars were until I saw them advertised here for only $14,995 for the 2013 models. My personal experience with Dodge has been very good. I got just under a quarter million miles out of my last one, with less than zero mechanical problems, except for one heater hose.
