Just your average minivan
A number of electrical problems, relays, blown fuses for no apparent reason.
A/C has gone out twice.
Eats up brakes.
It's alright (for a minivan), but I don't recommend one. I don't see why they're so popular.
The four cylinder engine is weak, but it'll still beat my Bronco II.
Plan on putting some money into this one.

This is a very comfortable vehicle
Gas gauge quit. Easy to repair except had to drop the tank.
Head gasket went after 228000 KM, so replaced the engine with a used engine of 138000KM.
Windshield replaced as they get very pitted without a deflector.
Local dealer wants an arm and a leg for repairs. Cannot afford a dealer.
Even though I had some bad luck with this vehicle it has still been one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned (and I've owned quite a few).
It's fun to drive, and very comfortable. Lots of pep and still very quiet.
Very handy for small groups or large families, also for trucking clean stuff.
I am buying a newer (1998) Grand Caravan this week and someone will get a good used car... kind of hate to part with it!

Good performance and very stable ride, but unreliable and unsafe
Intermittent stalling began to appear after 50,000 Km, which is why I think this vehicle is unreliable and also unsafe.
Now it won't start when the temperature is below freezing, seems something in the gas line or pump is blocked.
Transmission failed at 210,000 km, seems exceptional compared to others, but the cost to fix still hurts.
Air conditioning stopped working after 200,000 km.
Front tires wobble at city speeds, between 35 to 45 km/Hr, resulting in premature tire wear.
Spare tire winch broke, but I did not bother fixing this, and I just keep the spare tire on the floor.
This minivan has served me and my family for quite some time and over so many kilometers.
However it doesn't give anyone a secure feeling knowing it can stall or fail to start randomly anytime and anywhere.

I have the same engine stall problem of my 1994 Caravan (60,000 miles). My mechanic did an engine running test, no trouble found. He said it could be the gas pump problem which will cost me $400 to install a new one, but he is not 100% sure this will solve the engine stall issue when it is on a highway. Any suggestions?

An undesirable vehicle
Paint - bird droppings removed paint. Dealer would not cover, after much aggrevation, Chrysler covered.
Transmission - transmission lost reverse gear. Determined to be mechanical, requiring trannie overhaul. Vehicle has 69K miles, and it is August. 7/70K expired in February. Dealer stated it would cover the parts locally, labor is $1,200. Contacted Daimler Chrysler because car has minimal miles and just missed and would they cover labor as customer service. Chrysler customer service stated they would cover parts. I requested a supervisor and was advised that they are "empowered to make a decision and they will not allow me to talk to a supervisor". I asked for the person's name. Advised that "first name is Tina and last name would not be given because of security reasons". DO NOT BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT.
Chrysler has poor customer service, DO NOT BUY Daimler Chrysler products.

I have a 91 Caravan that I bought with 43,000 miles. It lasted 2 weeks before the tranny went. Since then I have put in 4 (that's four) more transmissions in the van, but Chrysler has a hidden warranty that they will cover the transmission up to 100,000 miles because they know that they sell junk and there may be a class action suit coming their way.
Canada already has a class action suit. Keep looking on the net for different web sites to check this out.
Mine is an 89' and has also used up 3 transmissions. I don't care about warranty coverage, but would like to find someone who makes a reliable replacement transmission that doesn't require modifications to install. I really don't want to put another "Mopar" rebuild in, only to find the same 1-2 year lifespan!!! Post any answers. Complaints do nothing.

But I wouldn't say all Chryslers are junk because of 1 dealer. I had Chrysler products that were good.
But I never went to a dealer for service.

Our 1989 Dodge Caravan would stall intermittently too. Ended up being the spark plug wires were not installed on the plugs correctly (pushed down securely). Set us back $400. The spare tire winch broke too, set us back another $170.
