2001 Dodge Caravan
Summary:
Great
Faults:
Nothing.
General Comments:
I guess it's all about luck. I've had the van for more than 3 years, and all I did is change the brake pads in the front. It drives smooth and clear.
I keep reading of engine failures in 80000, and transmissions in 30k. I have had many cars in my life. Never bought a new one. It's all about luck again.
Very happy with this one. We are not a big family, only 2 of us, but I like the van a lot, and yes my next car will be a van again.
The van has 215k on it and is great.
Stop complaining; it's all luck. It can be a Rolls Royce, but if you're unlucky, it's gonna be the same.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I bought a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country brand new in 2002. It has had so many problems and recalls, I think they are all junk.
Here is a list of problems:
At first I had a hose come off the transmission and it leaked all over the place. Then the fuel tank was recalled. Then the air conditioner wires burnt. All this was done in the first year, then in the 4th year.
Then the transmission went out and had to be replaced in 2008. Then the engine light stays on. The engine light was on in the first month. They said it was the way I put my gas cap on. Off and on through out its history it has stayed on. Go figure.
Then in 2007 the fuel pump line busted, spraying gas every where. When installed the first time it had a bad gasket. The gasket was pinched.
My van has a system on the inside roof reading temp and the miles I have until empty etcetera. Well, that won't be accurate because the fuel pump cannot be installed right due to the problem before.
The front end always is bad and an axle was also replaced when the transmission was. Then it eats tires.
Also the car only has under 79,000 miles on it. All this was done before 65,00 miles.
There are many more things I can put on this list of problems, but one thing I did that was the smartest move ever. I bought an extended warranty from them that covered everything until 100,000 miles, and can buy another 50,000 miles. The first warranty cost 1,800.00, then the second will cost about 1,000.00. I have saved over 7,000.00 in repair costs. I have also heard this from other people, that they too have had problems. I am not going to buy another one.
