Faults:

Battery was dead at purchase (apparently this is common for cars that sit on the lot for a while). Dealer replaced under warranty.

Heated seats didn't work. Replaced module under warranty.

"Dodge" lettering was uneven. Dealer replaced under warranty.

Rattling garage door opener buttons. Dealer replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

This is a man's car. Everything about it is masculine. The Hemi shakes the whole car when it starts up. Due to its size and poor visibility, it's relatively difficult to drive, and the interior controls and buttons are made for a lumberjack. All features combine to create an impulse to do burnouts in the cul-de-sac.

That said, the car has been solid. I bought this car new in 2009. I had a bad image of American cars, but after a terrible experience at a Toyota dealership, I was lured by an ad in the paper for the Charger R/T and the lifetime powertrain warranty. After a brief inspection and test drive, I was sold.

I've put over 40k miles on this car, and it has never even hinted of giving me a problem. It drives like a dream on the highway. I've taken it up to 125 mph (electronically limited) only a few times, and I probably could've taken my hands off the wheel, it's so stable. I average 27 mpg on long trips due to the 4 cyl shutoff and going 75 mph. Around town the gas mileage is bad, as expected from a big V8. Overall, I get about 20 mpg.

I bought this car because I wanted luxury, performance, and value, and that's what I got. Whenever I go anywhere with friends, we always take my car, because everyone wants to ride in the Charger.

My only gripe would be that I wish I got the AWD version, because I like to go snowboarding.
