1999 Dodge Durango SLT 5.9L
Summary:
Nice looking and comfortable, but engine SUCKS
Faults:
Entire dash shutdown at 14000 miles. The dealer replaced this for free. Was told that this was a common problem.
Passenger side window motors stopped working at 15000 miles. The dealer said they replaced them. They worked.
The passenger side windows totally laid down at 40000 miles. Repaired at my expense.
Began getting oil pressure warning light at 41000 miles. Took it to dealer and they could find nothing wrong with it.
Same oil pressure light at 42000 miles. Took it to dealer and they said that the sender needed to be changed. Replaced that and it stopped briefly, but came back again.
The oil pressure light continued to come on and go off until it finally locked up at 65000 miles. Had to replace engine at my expense. Dodge let on like they had never experienced this problem before. That was BS.
After replacing the engine, the oil pressure light is still coming on and going off.
Have had three Dodge trucks and all have been great vehicles. Will soon trade this pile of junk for another truck.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

All four ball joints and the tool necessary to break them loose costs less than $175. (And a Saturday morning's work).
