1999 Dodge Durango SLT 5.9L Magnum V8
Summary:
A great family vacation vehicle
Faults:
I have had zero major problems with my Durango, but then I've also done all the required maintenance. I've had the major intervals done at the dealership, and done all the minor intervals either myself or through Valvoline Instant Oil Change.
Recently, I've had to do some maintenance, such as the Intake Air temperature sensor needed replaced, and it looks like I also need to replace the Output Speed Sensor, but I've driven 87000 miles in 4 years, so some maintenance is expected.
General Comments:
The biggest complaint I've had with my Durango is the poorly designed cargo area. It's either keep the 3rd row of seats up and have no appreciable cargo space, or lay the seat down and have your groceries flying all over the car. Other than that, the front cup holders are terrible as well.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

We have a 1998 Durango with 130,000 miles on it (we bought it new). I still love my Durango and ours did the same thing, but it was easy to diagnose with ours. It was the oil filter. It plugged on us so make sure that isn't your problem & make sure it is tight.
