2000 Dodge Intrepid Base 2.7L . V6
Summary:
I'd buy another one if they still made it
Faults:
Timing chain and guides were replaced before I bought the car. Service manager said the engine should last another 100,000 miles.
Problem with broken bracket on driver's side front window. Repaired by dealer for less than $80.
Left bank catalytic converter is burned out along with the oxygen sensors adjacent to it. I have chosen not to replace because of the cost and the car runs fine as is. Fuel mileage is 1-2 mpg less at times.
General Comments:
This car replaced our '95 Intrepid that was in an accident with a deer and was totaled. It has been a very reliable daily driver and we have had none of the infamous transmission or air conditioning problems often associated with this brand. It rides comfortably and everything works, except as noted above.
It gets regular maintenance, which has helped to preserve its dependability.
It has a comfortable ride, and is fairly economical to operate, for a large car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Do you still have the vehicle? Does it still run well?
