1979 Dodge Omni O24 1.7 liter
Summary:
One of the under appreciated cars of its era
Faults:
Warranty replacement of right rear shock absorber.
Warranty replacement of door trim plastic that cracked in sub-zero temperatures. Must have been due to assembly damage, since the problem didn't repeat at similar temperatures.
And that is all.
General Comments:
Dodge attempted to morph a 1970's econo-box car into a sexier coupe and succeeded. Most O24's sold came with the B-pillar applique and a rear spoiler. Since mine was a beautiful shade of red, and didn't have those parts, many people didn't recognize it and thought it was something much more exotic than it was.
It was a very enjoyable car to own and drive.
