Faults:

Nothing but brake pads, oil changes and tuneups.

All these bad reviews puzzle me. Maybe they beat their vehicles up? Who knows?

I had this truck for 10 years and it still runs great.

If you do all the regular maintenance and don't beat the heck out of a truck, it will last and last.

Oh I forgot, the dash got a crack in it recently. But after 10 years, what can you expect.

General Comments:

Great truck, and will never own anything but a Dodge.

Faults:

Good work truck. At 175k it's running well like it had 50k on it.

The heater core just went, but its almost summer so I'm not worried about that right now.

Besides getting oil changes and regular maintenance, it has been good to me.

I don't like all the rust for a 10 year old vehicle.

My driver's seat is worn badly, but the rest of interior is clean.

Maybe a new Dodge is worth it, but for a good work truck this Dodge will do. It is a good work truck for the money and will take a beating.

Faults:

Fog light switch.

Rust around fender welds.

Dash cover cracked.

I have a 1999 Dodge ram 1500 Quad cab 5.9..125,000 miles, Honestly only major thing has been rear piston (?) bearing (that was a pretty penny @ $800) Other than that, wheel bearings and a speed senser..However, I think as of today, I may have a fuel filter or fuel pump problem.. You can't just go in and change the fuel filter out on these beasts like you can older trucks!..Fuel filter and pump is IN the gas tank.. If it's a pump, Im lookin at another $800 bucks!

Otherwise, my baby has been good to me and no rust, no cracking of dashboard etc.. shes still pretty even at 9 yrs old!!

Faults:

Our 16 yr. old son, who is a good, but inexperienced driver, drives this pickup which has been at the Dodge dealer 6 times in the past three months for stalling problems. While the service manager is very nice and equally frustrated, they cannot determine what the exact problem is. Every time the vehicle is towed to them, it's there a week with no problems. We get it home and have to tow it back again. Dropped $760.00 to replace the brain - yesterday - and the vehicle stalled today in the middle of a busy intersection (again)!

I would trade it, but couldn't live with seeing some other person in the paper after an accident.

Faults:

My 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup 4x4 Sport model has had the transmission replaced at 5 1/2yrs old and 37238 miles; $2500.

6 months later it needed a new computer board put in; $700 parts and labor.

Here are the problems my truck has been through.

By the way I have only 48,000 miles on it.

Transmission replacement.

Computer board replacement.

Radio doesn't work right.

Brake line is broken.

Needs ball joints.

Needs right side wheel bearing.

Roof leaks somewhere as water gets in and can smell mold.

Evaporator core replaced.

Reported brake problems 3 times, but nothing can be found (brakes go to floor when trying to stop sometimes).

Speakers need to be replaced from not working.

Main oil seal replaced.

General Comments:

Anyone looking to buying a Dodge Pickup - stay away...

I will never buy a Dodge again.

Everyone still thinks my truck is new. The truck has been babied.
