1994 Eagle Vision TSi 3.5 24v

Summary:

So.. So.

Faults:

These things have failed SO FAR: transmission, water pump, air emissions pump, head gaskets, timing belt tensioner, steering rack, A/C condenser, A/C electronics, ABS braking controller, ABS light, fuel pump, power antenna, ventilation motors, brake rotors warp. Various drive line fluid leaks. Numerous water/air leaks.

At 80,000 miles, replaced timing belt tensioner.

At 90,000 miles, replaced transmission sun gear, costing me $2000.

At 95,000, starter motor and fuel pump were replaced, and CD display LCD went out.

At 100,000, wiper motor was replaced, power antenna failed, and the ABS sensor was replaced.

At 120,000, Hi/Lo beam switch was replaced.

At 130,000, idle controller was replaced,

along with the head gasket.

After 120,000, the engine was taking in the cooling fluid due to a loosened engine bolt.

General Comments:

Well.. if not for all those problems, this car handles and drives like a good Japanese car..

Right now, 150,000 miles with the new engine gasket.. Still have the power to beat a BMW Z3.. uphill, fully loaded with a passenger..

Transmission failed due to broken sun gear. Otherwise no other problem on the transmission; still silky smooth..

Highway gas miles are great.. I'm getting over 30 miles for a gallon.. But in the city, 13-15 miles.

1994 Eagle Vision ESI 3.3L V6

Summary:

It's a great car

Faults:

Not really much has gone wrong with my car. The most recent things that have gone wrong with my car is the A/C just went out and I got that fixed.

Now the big thing is that my Transmission went out. It was going out since it had 120,000 miles on it. But I just had to warm it up in the winter time. I had to, but brakes all the way around which wasn't much.

The rails on my driver are starting to bined up. The passenger side window is starting to stick alittle, but it won't cost much to fix. My trunk lid is starting to rust a little right around the vision badge. Other than that not to much.

General Comments:

It handles like a true sports car.

You have no blinds spots hardly.

And you even have a lot of room.

1994 Eagle Vision ESI 3.5 V6

Summary:

Seriously, the worst mistake of my life!

Faults:

Transmission cooler lines replaced 29,000 miles.

Transmission replaced twice, 45,000 miles and 110,000 miles.

Radiator cracked 80,000 miles.

Intake Manifold gasket was leaking had to replace 70,000 miles.

Head gaskets blew at 90,000 miles.

Water pump failed at 80,000 which broke the timing belt which turned into a $900 repair bill.

The A/C evaporator core had to be replaced at 39,000 miles.

I had to replace the A/C compressor twice at 50,000 miles and at 100,000 miles.

I had to fix a bad leak in the oil pan at 100,000 miles.

General Comments:

When I bought the car it was perfect, it had a lot of power and was very comfortable however I quickly found out it was nothing more than a lemon. I had many more repairs that I just cannot list them all here.

I bought an extended warranty and the warranty company one year ago finally denied the last claim I had on the car because all of my claims totaled together exceeded the value of the car.

1994 Eagle Vision Eagle Esi 3.5

Summary:

Sports car performance with luxury options!

Faults:

The passenger window switch is going out, but is easily and cheaply remedied.

In typical 'Infinity' style, the LED in the radio/CD player is out, as well as the CD function.

I had to have the auto antenna replaced.

I am currently trying to find a passenger spoiler piece for the 3 piece spoiler, which was missing when I purchased the car.

General Comments:

This car does everything that I expected it to, and surprised me with it's luxurious feel!

Handles wonderfully. Traction control is the best thing since sliced bread with peanut-butter!

All of my friends want me to drive because of the leather seats and roomy interior.

I, honestly, cannot say enough great things about my Vision Esi!

1994 Eagle Vision TSi 3.5L V6

Summary:

A one of a kind car!

Faults:

When we first bought the car, we had to replace the air conditioner twice.

The transmission at about 200,000 miles started to shudder quite badly. It was the original transmission though.

In 2001, the engine started to knock badly and overheat.

General Comments:

Very nice car. If Eagle were still around I would buy one.

Performance was like a V8. Very Responsive and quickly tends to your performance needs.

Seats were cloth, but extremely comfortable. We drove a lot and this indeed did help.

Limousine size cabin with lots of leg room.

Engine and transmission lasted to 241,000 miles. Very unusual for any car.

1994 Eagle Vision TSi 3.5 V6

Summary:

Performance, luxury, and affordability

Faults:

Air conditioner condensor failed at 70,000 miles.

Condensation build-up under the head-lamps.

The LCD display on the CD player fails after the car has been left in the sun.

The auto-tracking system fails during winter months (in Iowa).

Rear passenger window went off the track at about 71000 miles.

General Comments:

Extremely comfortable.

Handles well.

Power everything and leather seats make me feel rich.

Looks very stylish, I am the envy of all my friends.

The air conditioning condensing unit cost me about $262. But it has worked like a dream ever since.

I occasionally find myself staring at it for a while after I wash and wax it, and get it to a mirror shine.

I found it is cheaper to break your window and have it completely replaced than it is to put a window back on it's track.
