1998 Ford Aspire

Summary:

Good bang for the buck. Not gas friendly. Tiny car impresses for cheap price tag

Faults:

Went out: A/C, power steering, windows not rolling up completely / not sealing.

If you're seeking a luxury, full options, great gas mileage, or reliable - better look elsewhere.

General Comments:

I purchased a Ford Aspire new in the late 1990s for use as a commuter car and then as a cheap college car. The Aspire was totaled. Now I am long term renting a Ford Aspire. Owned: 2 door, manual. Rent: 4 door, automatic.

If it's well cared for, this car is good bang for the buck. It actually rides smoother at highway speeds than around town. 4 adults can fit comfortably and a few of their belongings - which is more than can be said for the MINI. It's also easy to handle and with a great turning radius.

If you're seeking a cheap car and live in an urban, condensed area - where other small cars are the norm - this is a good car to buy.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

The Aspire was only in production from 1994-1997 there was never a 1998 Aspire and I should know because I was selling the little slugs.

You're right. They don't make aspires any more after 1997 period. You're smart to know a little of everything about the cars like I did.
