Coil packs after deep water.

Alternator at 130.000.

Heater hose connector on intake.

General Comments:

This car was in service as a police car, and was retired from service as a police car to be used in another department.

This car was super reliable, and would not break no matter how it was driven. I am talking about driving at high speeds and over obstacles. This car loves the pavement or the dirt roads equally. I cannot count the times that this car has been hammered off the line while working.

The car was serviced every 4 thousand miles, including a new fuel filter every other service. The body and drive train were indestructible.

This car was still in service in 2012, and I lost track of its assignment. In civilian use, this type car would probably last a lifetime. It's not the fastest sedan ever built, but I am sure it is the most dependable.

Faults:

Front brakes at 62,000 miles.

General Comments:

Great ride.

More than adequate power.

Great mileage.

Hard to find LX Sport model, that looks great and turns heads.

This one is a keeper.

Faults:

Well what can I say about the car, is that it's awesome and nothing has gone wrong with it. But I had to put a oil pan heater on it and that's it!!!

General Comments:

Awesome, and anyone that wants comfort should go out and buy one.

This car is seriously quick and handles like it's on rails.

It used to be a Washington State Trooper car, and they take very good care of their cars.

I love it, I would buy one again if I had the chance.

Faults:

Power adjust pedals failed at 80,000 miles.

Other than that, nothing has failed, and no work has been done to the car other than regular maintenance.

General Comments:

This is our second Crown Vic. Our first ('97 LX) got totalled after being rear ended : (, and we were so happy with it, we decide to get another and we couldn't be happier.

Crown Vics are the best used bargain around bar none. In '02, my CV Sport sold for over 30k new, and I picked it up for 10k from a private owner. We really like the features of the Sport model vs. the standard LX. Bucket leather seats, center console with center shifter, 17" alloys, steering wheel controls, traction control, etc... This car is loaded to the gills. Just try to find an SUV with these features at that price. Not gonna happen.

The car is very comfortable on long trips, and is a dream on the interstate. It also does very well in town. It's very easy to get in and out of, and has a HUGE trunk that could rival any SUV's storage capacity. The MPG are also very good for a V8, we can almost hit 30 highway driving!

It's really hard to beat the value and reliability of used Crown Vics. There's a reason they have been in production for so long, the design is proven and is bullet proof. It's a shame that Ford is going to stop making them, but I suppose a good thing can't last forever.
