Faults:

Nothing so far. I bought the car used and the previous owner took excellent car of the car. It drives beautifully and I love it.

General Comments:

It may not have to most power, but it's a nice reliable car, really fun to drive and perfect for a college student (myself). I would recommend this car to anyone.

Faults:

Heater broke 1 week after I bought this car... it was 3 years old at that time.

1 year after that I had to get the entire suspension fixed. Tie rods. Struts.. very costly! Ford would not accept this under the warranty... and it was supposed to be. I will never buy a Ford again... the warranty was a useless purchase as well.

Ignition wires needed replacing... Problem after problem!

General Comments:

This is a terrible car. I couldn't depend on it for reliability at all.

It was a smooth ride, and I absolutely loved the interior and exterior. I loved the way it looked... but what's the point in owning a pretty car that is in the shop once a month! For big repair bills.

I traded it in for a Civic, and I'm having much better luck with that.

Faults:

This car has had pretty much EVERYTHING go wrong with it. tie rods have been replaced, wheel baring, rutter's, stabilizer link, headlight melted, fuel injector was recalled, ignition needed to be completely replaced, piston went through cylinder at 200kms and had to replace the whole engine.

Hood doesn't close in the winter unless you pour hot water on it :P trunk pops open in the winter while in motion..

There is not a whole lot of dealership support. Things that should have been recalls (the headlight and ignition) weren't.

General Comments:

It is a great sized car, I can park it anywhere. I find it comfortable inside and it suits my needs. It's just a horribly unreliable car to have, and nothing is under 400 dollars to fix on it. With all the repairs and upkeep you need to put into this car, it's best to just buy a better vehicle.

Faults:

When I first bought the car first thing wrong were the rear brakes. The brakes got stock because the sold me the car with emergency broken. Then the battery drain. It got replaced and the brakes to, but they still sound after all these years. the power window assembly had to be bought fully because they don't sell the tiny plastic brackects that hold the glass by itself. So far I have had to change the rotors twice because they warp very easily. And the EGR system does not seem to work properly this will be the second time that is going to be changed that is the only thing that keeps my dashboard illuminated. In morning you can always hear the throw out bearing from the clutch sounding off. Also the front right knuckle assembly was replaced and faulty spark plug wires.

General Comments:

When the car is working properly it's great if I have long distance travel is good with mileage I have put 405 miles in one tank of gas.

Faults:

Engine emissions sensor went bad at about 24,000 miles, and again at 50,000 miles.

Trunk wiring broke and had to be replaced at around 40,000 miles.

Steering column replacde at around 50,000 miles.

Rear right power window went bad at around 55,000 miles.

Clutch had to be replaced at around 70,000 miles.

Engine, engine mounts, and other surrounding parts replaced at 78,000 miles.

Clutch cables replaced at 81,000 miles.

General Comments:

The car handles great on curves and had a comfortable ride.

I have a manual and it accelerates great.
