2005 Ford Focus ST 2.3L 16v 4 Cylinder
Summary:
Fun to Drive!
Faults:
Nothing at all. The car has run perfectly since I bought it. I got hit in a parking lot by someone, but he admitted fault and he paid for the cosmetic repair. Buttons on the radio have worn out, can't really read some of them, but not a big deal.
General Comments:
The handling is excellent, power is really good out of a 4 cylinder. 151 horsepower, so it doesn't blow away everything on the road, but you have plenty of power to pass and accelerate on highways. The manual transmission has a great feel. Car really sticks to the road.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Because Ford doesn't like admitting to common defective failures... there are simply too many to admit to and stay in business. They have taken planned obsolescence to a whole other level. Every Taurus owner in American that's had to replace cooling, transmission, head gaskets, airbag computers, etc should have been compensated. This probably would have bankrupted them because of all the problems though.
Sad the Focus sounds like junk. I like the looks and the availability of a wagon. It replaced the Escort, which was a MUCH better car. I love my Tracer wagon. Ford is stepping two feet into the grave by choice and I'm not sure why. I know they can build good cars, they've done it before! As has Chrysler and GM in the past. No wonder the Big Three are taking such a beating. Don't get cocky guys, you'll lose your shirts and your businesses!
