2017 Ford Focus S 2.0

Summary:

An exciting compact car

Faults:

Nothing since it isn’t even 2 years old.

General Comments:

I bought the Ford Focus new in 2017 for 16k dollars out the door. It is the base S model.

Anyway, nothing has gone wrong so far; it isn’t even 2 years old. The 2005 Mustang I traded in for it had 135k miles on it and was still running strong. But I needed four doors but still wanted something lively to drive. So far the Focus has been excellent. It has plenty of power and really good handling/suspension. The cabin isn’t noisy on the highways like you would expect from a compact car, and after driving 7 hours in it I do not feel tired.

I do have the DCT transmission, which some people have complained about. But I never had an issue with it. It does sometimes make some funny noises for an auto, but not unusual for a manual that's in the wrong gear. But this only happens seldomly when you are accelerating from a stop.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
