I drove a 1975(?) Gran Torino Sport until 1986. I bought it used in 1982, and yes, it was beat up a little. The biggest problem was the driver's side door had to be slammed a few times to shut and the bumper was dented, but it was a beautiful baby blue tank with a white vinyl top and white stripes with a burgundy interior. I was a little woman of 25 and drove it like a race car. I would jump railroad tracks just to feel the floating feeling when landing. It was very dependable even though it drank some gas. My husband swears it had a 351 Cleveland engine. We sold it for $400, because we wanted a smaller car.

The last Gran Torino Sport was built in 1973. I should know, since I've owned one since 1976. You may have a Gran Torino, but it's not a "Sport".
