2003 Ford Mustang LX 3.8L V6

Summary:

Outstanding Value!!

Faults:

The only problem has been discolored door panels which was handled promptly by the local dealer.

General Comments:

The V-6 Mustang is an exceptional value and is very economical to maintain.

I drive on high speed toll roads daily and the car performs fantastic. A lot of get up and go for the money!!

The Mustang was not offered in an LX model for 2003.

2003 Ford Mustang premium package, basic V6

Summary:

Much more car for much less money!

Faults:

I have not had any problems with the car thus far.

One wiper was a little bit higher than the other, and the dealer adjusted it right away.

The front bumper was missing some type of fastening device that held the bumper down which the dealer also fixed that same day.

I only wish that the leather driver seat would not show any wear yet. I am a perfectionist and am extremely careful about moving around on the seat, but I already see little creases in the leather.

General Comments:

I absolutely love everything about this car. It looks and runs like a million dollars, especially considering that it is only a v6. This is a surprisingly fast car and is much more comfortable than other coupes in the same price range.

It is a very heavy car, rather than many of the light-weight competitors. I can really hear the difference when driving up my gravel driveway. It does not sound like the kicked-up rocks will bust a hole through the bottom, as opposed to some of our other cars.

However, I did pay much more than the $16,000 v6 price as a result of the upgrades that I wanted. For example, I paid extra for the pony package, premium package, leather seats, traction control, and aftermarket accessories. The window sticker was much closer to the price range of the GT. Yet, these upgrades are absolutely worth the extra money and make the car a real head turner. Many people have told me that it is one of the nicest Mustangs that they have ever seen, even though it is not a high performer like the Saleen or Cobra.

Yes it's a very nice car I own one as well (premium v6) and it does turn heads even though it still a v6.

2003 Ford Mustang

Summary:

My car is pretty!

Faults:

The window leaked and I had to take it back to the dealership. They replaced it with a new seal.

My seatbelt had to be fixed at the dealership.

General Comments:

The glove box is too small to allow many items to be placed inside.

The seats are very thin and uncomfortable.

The doors tend to swing back and not latch (catch) in place which can cause injury to your leg.

Not enough leg space in the back seat.

Trunk does not have a large enough opening for bigger items to fit although the trunk is roomy.

I do not think you give the car a bad rating just because of the leg room, no room in the glove box and a small trunk. You had a choice NOT to buy this car.

It is a sportscar, not a mini-van.

I think you needed to take some time while shopping for a new vehicle. It's a mustang, not a grocery getter.

2003 Ford Mustang Rouch/Boyd Cottington GT Conve 4.6L Supercharged

Summary:

Whip ass in a can!!!

Faults:

Drivers side sun visor came apart at the seam.

One of the "Boyd Cottington" wheels was warped, but Ford did replace everything in a timely matter.

I have been very happy with the car other than the car and insurance payment!!!

General Comments:

This is one of the best performance cars I have ever owned. I have owned Corvette's, Camaro's, Trans- Am's and a Jag, and none of them compare to this Mustang. I highly recommend this car.

Yes the sticker price is crazy ($42,000), but it is well worth it.
