2007 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible 4.6 V8
Summary:
Stylish and affordable as long as you have a warranty!!!
Faults:
Rear differential and clutch pack failed, and were both replaced under warranty at 7500 miles.
Convertible top started tearing 2 weeks after I purchased it. Top was replaced under warranty at 8200 miles.
Serious front end vibrations above 55mph started the day I drove it home. Tires were balanced and front end aligned by dealer free of charge at 8200 miles.
My color adjustable gauges failed at 8500 miles. Dealer replaced under warranty.
Lots of cheap plastics used to finish out the interior cause buzzing and rattling noises throughout.
General Comments:
This is my 4th new GT Mustang since 1996. I love the new retro styling and overall looks of the car. It has plenty of power and handles amazing, but I don't think I would purchase another mustang after all the problems I have had with this one in such a short amount of time.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Why on Earth did you not turn around and head back to the dealer with this problem the day you drove it home instead of waiting until you had 8,200 miles on the car? Tire issues are hardly the fault of the car, so you can pretty much discount any tire related issues as being against the car. I have heard many tire issues on new cars. Quality control in tire manufacturing obviously isn't that high, and there is always a chance you'll get a bad one here and there.

I'll agree with the rattles, I'm slowly chasing them down, the most aggravating one was a wiring harness moving around and catching something in the centre stack. My '07 had defective front tires, they got changed out right away. The plastics inside aren't that great looking but all in all, the car seems put together quite well.
