1993 Ford Taurus LX Station Wagon
Summary:
It handles like a much smaller car and is luxury class comfortable
Faults:
Nothing so Far.
Recharging A/C can be costly as this year still uses R12.
General Comments:
Great, roomy transportation with easy handling. Many reviewers seem to forget that when buying an older, used vehicle it is as much the maintenance the car has had as the manufacturing that determine whether the car is going to be a dream or a nightmare.
I was looking for a wagon because that suits my needs - make and model were second rate. It had to be cheap. For a 15-year-old car mine is in in fantastic shape, garaged and maintained by a senior citizen. When I first bought it my mechanic found it to smog like a 5-year-old car ( US-CA regulations ) and except for recharging the A/C there were no mechanical issues.
This wagon turns on a dime and handles like a video game. It is incredibly comfortable and roomy without being overwhelmingly huge. After 20K miles I love my 15-year-old Taurus and wouldn't give it up for the world. It has toughed out 800 miles in one weekend as I am using in state wide for dog shows. Great SUV alternative.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
