1994 Ford Tempo GL 2.3 HSC 4 cyl
Summary:
A good car at a great price
Faults:
A transmission mount had to be replaced at a cost of $35 for the mount, $20 for the labor.
An ignition cylinder had to be replaced at 89K, cost $50 for the part and labor.
Regular oil/oil filter changes.
Minor tune up: $63.00
Other than that I've had to replace one fender and a driver's side turn signal lamp because a deer hit it.
General Comments:
The car has been 100% great compared to my old Toyota, Nissan and Mazda. It isn't as nice as a Taurus but it is very frugal and is easy to work on. I've added a K&N Filtercharger to it to give it more power.
For the sound system I have a 6-disk CD changer, two kicker 8's and an amp.
Right now it's light blue but it will be painted later.
It's nearly fully loaded, with every power option. The only things that were optional and weren't put on this car are a V6 engine and a tachometer.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree with you. My Tempo is not FAST, but it's quicker than you'd think it'd be. Quicker than an '86 Escort and '92 Mustang with the four banger. Parts are cheap, too. Good, solid simple car. Without an overdrive it really winds out on the highway. Later!
