1995 Ford Thunderbird LX 4.6

Summary:

Very nice car. Will keep until the wheels fall off

Faults:

Paint faded on roof, hood, trunk, and some of the sides near top.

Speedometer, odometer, and tachometer were repaired.

Heater blower control switch replaced.

Sway bar link bushings (front and rear) replaced.

General Comments:

Bought car from older couple who did not drive it much, "too much power" they said. Car was in showroom condition. Had only 16900 miles on it.

Have had minor trouble with it, only what was listed in things gone wrong with car, was due to the car not being drove enough before we got it.

Car is really fast with excellent pick up from dead stop. Handles like a dream. Only wish it had more cup holders. Had car repainted last summer now it looks like a showroom car.

V-8 is a little hard on the gas, but most are when you can't keep your foot out of it!!

Love this car!!

General Comments:

I am 21 years old and I got the T-Bird from my parents my junior year of high school in 2001.

My mom bought it new in 1995, only 20 miles on it, and she gave it to me when it had about 72,000.

I am currently a junior in college and my T-Bird is still the coolest car.

I currently have 185,000 miles on it and the issues listed above are the only major issues I have had, other than regular maintenance, and of course the gas it guzzles from the V8 engine.

I love this car and I keep it looking like new, its really fast and I would never get rid of it.

1995 Ford Thunderbird LX 3.8L V6

Summary:

Smaller engine, great performance

Faults:

The driver side head gasket blew, had replaced at about 75,000.

Minor radiator seal leak, had seal replaced at 63,000.

My car would not shift from second to third had a spring and pin replaced in the transmission at 65,000 miles.

The driver side window bracket broke, just had to re-weld the bracket.

Had to replace the tension pulley at 75,000.

General Comments:

I was really surprised by how well the V6 performed.

I get descent gas mileage, about 20 city and almost 30 on the highway.

The seats are really comfortable and there is plenty of room in the interior.

And if you're looking for trunk space there is plenty off it.

General Comments:

This car was given to me my junior year in high school from my parents in 2002. I am currently a junior in College and of course I still have my T-Bird. Overall its been a great car without a major amount of repair. I put about 80,000 miles on it since I got it and its been very reliable. It still looks new because I take good care of it, and I always get the regular maintenance done. Right now at its current mileage of 171000 the air bag waring light is flashing on and off. And I just found out that my diagnostic connector or port, "which is the thing that reads codes when the engine light comes on" is not working. Apparently when my heater core went out back at 135,000 miles fluid leaked all over it, pretty much destroying it. I am going to have the local dealership put a new one on for me. Other than that, awesome car. It has a fast V8 engine and its comfort level is amazing as well as its reliability.
