Faults:

At 80,000 miles, I started having electrical problems. For example, the radio stopped working, and the car does not start every time.

The seats wear quickly if leather is not treated.

Never enough GT Mustangs out to beat in races.

General Comments:

A manual transmission is a must for this car. It generates too much torque for the auto (I had a '94 auto SC a few years ago).

This car is great for out running GT Mustangs!

Understated power!

Great for a weekend car! I would not recommend making a 10 year old Ford your every day driver though.

Faults:

I had to replace both the upper and lower ball joints at about 140,000 miles.

The radiator tank cracked and had to be replaced at about the same time as the ball joints.

Heating Core went out (not yet replaced as I live in a hot area of the US!) at about 132,000 miles.

Alternator also went out at the same time as Heating core, although I believe this was due to a faulty battery and not the car itself.

I have had to replace both control arms.

Shocks and struts where replaced at 129,000 miles.

Brakes are a constant money zapper, rotors and calipers have been replaced and I go through Brake Pads like tissue, although I'm not the best driver.

General Comments:

Although it has cost me a pretty penny to maintain, it has over 145,000 miles on it (more or less, the odometer stopped working)

It is great for city traffic, getting you to a fast speed quickly.

One of the big downsides of this car is that it guzzles gas. But what do you expect from a 10 year old V8?!

Faults:

Transmission shutters in between shifts around 40 mph, but after 40mph its fine.

Has a hard time staying running when first started, but after a few miles it is fine.

Plastic seat controls on drivers side is in a bad spot and gets kicked when you get in and out of the vehicle (mine is broken now) but still works.

Eats the gas, just loves it! and prefers the expensive octane too!

General Comments:

The car passes anything, has very responsive get up and go right now so hang on!

No major problems at all, just small annoyances like the cup holder and the radio stinks.

Faults:

Both upper ball joints have torn rubber seals and the one of the left is beginning to make noise

All front sway bar link joints have torn rubber seals

The previous owner had to have the transmission replaced three times.

General Comments:

Overall not a bad car. It the chassis is stiff, it handles well, and is smooth over bumps. Brake dive and acceleration squat are more than I would like. The engine could use a lot more power.

The four speed automatic transmission is very irritating. First gear is way too high and it constantly tries to get itself into overdrive as fast as possible at any speed over 20 miles per hour. Also, kick down is excruciatingly slow.

Gas mileage is less than what one would expect. My 1993 Chevy Caprice Classic with a 5.7l V8 gets better fuel economy around town.
