Faults:

Well, over the years several things. Basic things that go out on all cars. Clutch, A/C, alternator, things like that. I suspect though that the carb is maybe starting to maybe have problems soon from the way that it is acting.

General Comments:

If you need basic transportation then this is the car for you. I have to admit the only downfall of this little car is the power thing.. the automatic transmission shifts constantly to keep the little car going. If youu really get into it you can get a little bit of pep out of it. Course though the more and more miles it gets, the weaker it gets, at one time I thought that it might get 300,000 but now I don't know, I think the engine is just getting too weak.

Another thing that really ticks me off is the fact that you can't find parts anywhere for these cars anymore. I was going to fix the A/C but I can't even find general parts for the car like hoses and all. The engine itself is the smallest one ever used in a American car. 1.0 cylinder. This car is still in production but it's known now as the Chevrolet Metro/Suzuki Swift.

Faults:

Well since I've had it, I've had to replace the front brakes.

General Comments:

This car is old but it's good running. It gets a bit hot on summer days. The a/c is broke and the parts aren't available anymore for it. Sometimes under a heavy load it will strain a bit. I'm glad I bought this car for $100. The guy said it was shot, but it wasn't. I took it home, changed the timing belt, replaced an oil pan gasket. Changed the oil, used 20W50 instead of 10W30 and it has been going ever since, I think it was one of the best buys I ever made.
