Faults:

Leaks from different spots.

Wobbles over 65mph.

Big in parking lots.

General Comments:

I got this truck because I wanted to tow my trailer and haul anything I needed to. It has turned out to be one of the best vehicles I have owned. I have owned dozens. The last was a 01 Blazer, and I could not wait to get rid of it.

The tank you are looking for is the 1973-1979 Suburban. This truck is the biggest, toughest truck you can drive. Reliable, and eye-catching despite the millions in existence. The 3/4 ton 4x4 version is heavy duty, and will outlast a lot of newer aluminum wannabes.

No computers, no power anything. A/C and heat, and a radio. It gets you there with conviction, and nobody cuts you off on the highway.

Dwarfs egg-shaped cars, and can haul most of my furniture. I could throw a mattress in the back and sleep in it.

Downside is gas mileage... but there are ways around that.

Get one. Fix it up. Keep them from being scrapped.
