Faults:

The GMC Terrain has had no problems up to this point.

General Comments:

The Terrain is seriously comfortable. Unlike some consumer reviews I have read, I really enjoy the sound of the motor working its way through the gears. Prior to the Terrain, I owned an Audi and before that a Mercedes, and in terms of comfort and cornering, the Terrain is better.

I have also read critiques about acceleration... I am not seeing much of a difference between the Terrain and the above mentioned German vehicles. Granted you use the pedal differently, but isn't that generally the case when you change vehicles.

Finally I should mention that prior to purchasing the GMC Terrain, I tested the Mercedes GLK 350 and preferred the Terrain. I suspect that had the GLK 250 been available, the contest would have been closer, but I am very happy with the GMC.

Faults:

Nothing in the 6 months I have had it. Drives like a charm.

General Comments:

A excellent SUV, which looks much bigger on the inside than it really is.

Feels very well made, and currently I am averaging 12.4km per litre (mix of 40% city driving and 60% highway). Although I haven't really seen any difference between eco mode and regular mode in terms of gas usage.

Very comfortable seats with good lumbar support.

Nicely looking both inside and out. All the controls are easy to find and operate.

I feel that I definitely made the right choice (after studying all the vehicles currently available I ended up with 6 "Finalists" - Terrain, Cadillac CTS, Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, Mercedes C230, Lexus CT200 & Infiniti G25).

After further research, the decision came down to the Terrain and the Lincoln (The CTS would have been the easy winner if only it had a smaller or hybrid engine).

The only thing I don't like is that some of the bolts and wires under the seats are visible from certain angles; perhaps the bolts and wires could have been capped or painted black to make them less obvious.

Overall, a decision well made.
