1991 Honda Accord LX 2.2

Summary:

I love this car, and very proud to own one.

Faults:

The only thing that has gone wrong with the car is the radiator started having trouble around 130,000 miles. It never really overheated although the temperature has climbed significantly.

Also, the rear quarter panels started to rust in the wheel well where the bumper and quarter panel meets.

General Comments:

The 1991 Honda Accord LX sedan was by far one of the smartest investments I have ever made with automobiles to date. I would definitely buy another one and never plan to sell the vehicle.

The car handles very nicely, and is fun to drive, especially in curves.

Final Grade: A-

I just bought a 1991 Honda Accord Ex yesterday, and I must say that at 175,000 miles, it still drives like a new car. I must agree with the person who wrote the statement about having to manually lock the doors, antenna broken, speedometer sensor out, and sometimes my check engine light comes on too. But knowing that It's a Honda, I feel comfortable about my decision of buying this car.

1991 Honda Accord LX 2.2 inline 4

Summary:

An Excellent Value

Faults:

Clutch and right axle had to be replaced at 120000. I also had to replace the oil pan thanks to some idiot at a local lube place because he thought it need to be torqued on.

I have an unexplained rattle coming from the rear passenger side and the antenna makes a lot of noise. The automatic seatbelt has tried to kill my friends on numerous occasions.

General Comments:

The Accord is a good car! I get excellent mileage and above average reliability. How can you beat that! I love how it has some sportiness to it and the fact that it is comfortable at high speeds. I've had mine up to 120 mph (I regularly drive at 90 to 95 mph on a daily basis) and it handled wonderfully. The high resale value helps too. Too bad you can't get this kind of quality in an American made car.
