2002 Honda Accord LX 3.0 V6

Summary:

Pricey, but you get your money's worth

Faults:

The battery was replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

This Honda is very refined. The drive train is so quiet that I can barely hear it running and changing shift points.

The double wishbone suspension holds the car well during cornering.

The standard traction control works well in the snowy Canadian winter.

The only complaint is the remote keyless control fob. I have to press and hold the trunk button for one or two second before it will release the lid. Have to check the manual on this.

2002 Honda Accord EX V6

Summary:

Great all-around car

Faults:

So far, nothing has gone wrong.

General Comments:

The Accord (coupe) was the perfect balance between a sports car, and a roomier sedan.

The V6 has good power, but from a complete stop, the pick-up is a little sluggish.

I think Honda needs to work on insulating the cabin more (perhaps they did this already in the 2003). It can be noisy at high speeds. I test drove the Camry Solara when deciding which to purchase and I thought the Solara was much quieter.

The leather seats and power driver seat make this car very comfortable.

The dials, and gauges are very easy to read and adjust.

I was in a fender bender, front bumper, and I did not, and have not, had any of the problems others have had with the paint peeling.

I have been more than happy with my Honda and would recommend it to anyone. Definitely try the V6 before purchasing.

2002 Honda Accord Special Edition

Summary:

A Great Mommy Car

Faults:

Nothing as of yet.

General Comments:

This car is a great "mom car" It is roomy enough for children in the back and is extremely efficient under most all circumstances.

The handeling is great, typical of most Honda's, Toyota's and Nissan's etc. and the gas mileage is superb, especially on the highway. The noise level of the cabin is not high even at very high speeds. The car does very well on long trips.

I'm very disappointed in my 2002 Honda Limited Edition. Although it's garage-kept, the paint is cracking and popping off on the hood. There are numerous rattles in the dash. Mileage is mediocre.

Was a Honda fan, not anymore.

Joy.

To the person above. I have a V-6 Pontiac and I get great gas mileage. It has much better gas mileage than our previously owned Nissan Maxima and Toyota Camry. Please think before you write!

2002 Honda Accord EX Don't remember

Summary:

Very nice ride

Faults:

The door to the driver's side was not aligned properly.

General Comments:

This car rides very smooth and has great visibility. However, it uses more gasoline than I expected. Anyways, I enjoy this vehicle very much. It's worth the price I paid.

2002 Honda Accord EX V6 3.0 V6

Summary:

Great Luxury vehicle at a bargain price

Faults:

The car is perfect.

General Comments:

The car accelerates from a stop with a great deal of power. It took me several days to get use to this and stop burning rubber when leaving an intersection.

The five speed automatic transmission turns 1500 RPM at a constant speed of 35 and at a constant speed of 65 the RPM are 1700. This must account for the very good gas mileage.

The finish of this vehicle is very good both inside and out. Before buying this vehicle I considered and road tested a BMW 325I and a Mercedes C240. The Honda with 240 horsepower far out performed the C240 (168 horsepower) and was in the same ballpark as the BMW (184 horsepower). The fit and finish of these three vehicles is comparable, except the BMW does not have a standard leather interior.

The price difference, which was approximately $6,500, made the Honda Accord EX V6 the right choice.

With the Honda resale value and cost of maintenance, even the gas savings, the Honda runs on regular and the BMW and Mercedes require high octane, have confirmed that I have made the right choice.
