1996 Honda Civic LX Std?
Summary:
Super-reliable and well made small car
Faults:
Nothing has gone wrong except replacing batteries, filters, etc.
General Comments:
This is a very reliable car. Not the most powerful, but then again it's a small car to begin with. The engine is a bit loud, but it's my wife's car and I don't think she's ever had the transmission fluid flushed. I've heard that it's a good idea to flush the transmission fluid on Honda's (instead of just draining + replacing).
Regarding handling: It corners well, especially for its size. It's starting to wiggle a bit at 70+ mph, but not much.
Nothing has gone wrong with the body or electrical system.

Well to tell you I'm a technician that owns a Honda civic and I've had nothing but great things from that vehicle... Head gaskets don't just blow chief... They blow when people drive their vehicles with out coolant and over heat the motor, wheel bearing are going to go bad as well as cv joints, now your lighting problem I can't help ya there Honda makes a very well built high mileage reliable vehicle, so try taking care of your car a bit more.
