Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong except replacing batteries, filters, etc.

General Comments:

This is a very reliable car. Not the most powerful, but then again it's a small car to begin with. The engine is a bit loud, but it's my wife's car and I don't think she's ever had the transmission fluid flushed. I've heard that it's a good idea to flush the transmission fluid on Honda's (instead of just draining + replacing).

Regarding handling: It corners well, especially for its size. It's starting to wiggle a bit at 70+ mph, but not much.

Nothing has gone wrong with the body or electrical system.

Faults:

Well a stock civic H/B sucks so I put a B18B out of a 1998 Integra in and I will just say: Watch out 5.0 Rustangs.

General Comments:

This car with stock trim ran a 18 sec 1/4 miles after the motor swap it hit 14.23 and then I installed a T3/T4 hybrid turbo running 12psi and hit 12.28 so stock honda suck, but add a little of its Acura powerplant power and you have a great street car.

Faults:

Nothing has really gone wrong with this car - only regular maintenance.

- Replaced front disk brake pads @ 85,000 km

- replaced front window (cracked from rocks) @ 108,000 km

- replaced tires @ 112,000 km

- replace timing belt @ 150,000 KM (wasn't broken - just figured it needed to be replaced).

General Comments:

This is a great little car - It is the longest I have ever owned a new car. Excellent on gas and has a lot of pep for a 4 cylinder. I like it so much that the next car I bought (for my wife) was a 2001 Honda Accord EX-V6 - dealer wanted me to trade my Civic in - I said no way - that one is mine. :)

Faults:

Very little has gone wrong with this car. It is my second car and I don't think I will ever go back to owning anything, but a Honda. Here are a few things that have gone bad or not working;PRDL light doesn't work, A/C temperature control light doesn't work and the muffler rusted out.

General Comments:

All cars have their little problems, but the best thing a person can do is keep up with general maintenance.

It's a quick, and very touchy car.

Handles very well great for city driving in my opinion.

Faults:

I have continually had problems with this car since I bought it. Before the car reached 100,000 Km the head gaskets and two wheel bearings had to be replaced. Luckily this was covered by the dealership.

After 2 years of ownership the car has had some electrical problems where the dash lights will flicker on and off when the car hits bumps.

Recently the transmission had to be replaced due to a bad bearing and a CV joint replaced as well.

As well the suspension is making some creaking sounds when hitting bumps.

General Comments:

Aside from fuel economy the cars performance has been anemic at best. Other surveys comment on the performance being great, I suggest they try a any v6 or v8, a 4cyl car doesn't compare.

This model is very cheap on interior quality, items such as a trunk light are missing, the radio buttons don't light up at night. The quality of the sound system is very poor.

I also found the dealers in my area opened too late and closed too early and found myself taking time from work in order to have maintenace performed.

As for this car and Honda in general I am going back to Ford where I still have an 1989 thunderbird with 360,000 Km that passes the emmisions better then the Honda, out performs it, out handles it and has more interior refinements. The only things I've replaced on it were the water pump and alternator.

I am very unimpressed by Honda, the quality, the lack of refinements and the treatment from the dealerships.
