General Comments:
So far, I'm terrible to this car. I don't race it, but I don't take care of it either.
Everyone that reads this review will be terrified.
The first time I changed the oil was at 39,000 miles. Not 3,900. But that was at Jiffy Lube and they didn't fill it up with new oil, so I drove it until the second time, which was last month at 87,000 miles. Yeah, 48 THOUSAND miles on 1 quart of oil.
It shocked me that the car was still running. Not only that, it was running fine.
I just changed the air filter, 87,000 miles, and the brake fluid for the first time.
The car still has the original 7 year old: Spark Plugs, Battery, Transmission oil, Tires, and anything else I didn't list above.
Now that the scary part is over, I have to say that this car is great. I thought the car was dying (during the time it had 1 quart of oil), DUH, because the gas consumption was fairly high at 27 MPG. But I couldn't do anything about it. Well, needless to say, when I myself did the next oil change, it came back up to 40. It still purrs like it was new.
Currently it seems like only 2 of the 4 pistons are firing because of the spark plugs, but that will have to wait until I get another day off.
When all four pistons are firing, it's a quick car, but feels like my old Metro. A tin can.
I like this car a lot, it's been around my life for a while, and it's still going. I'm not sure how, but it is.
I'm glad I bought a Honda, because if I had anything else, it would have disintegrated under the same circumstances.

Oh My goodness... this just goes to show the reliability of Honda's. But why oh why did you drive for so long without an oil change?? That will kill any car.
