2005 Honda Civic SE 2L
Summary:
Very forgiving for someone who's learning
Faults:
The Carpeting smells of rotting. Both the mats and the attached carpet. Anyone else who has heard of/had this issue, please comment.
General Comments:
It's a great car to drive, even in cold winter tempuratures. The service we had from the dealer was excellent, and they were always willing to answer any questions we had. I learnt to drive in this car, and I found it quite forgiving if I made any "mistakes." Stops fast without ABS, even on ice, which is nice for student drivers.
I live in a wet area near Winnipeg, and currently am trying to discover why my carpets and mats smell like rot. If anyone else has heard of/had this issue, please comment. For those who don't have the greatest lower back, the front seats seem to have a sort of very flat/forward lean to them, which can be bothering on long hauls.
There is ample leg room in the back seat. I'm 6'2" and have no problems in the rear. The stock stereo pounds pretty well. Good solid bottom end, without drownding out everything else.
Lovely looking family car, fun to drive, nice interior. (except for the carpet smell) It gets a higher rating in my books.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree with your comments. I am also an owner of a 2004 Honda Civic Special Edition. My particular car has more the 52000km on it and even though I am young and drive it hard I have not had a single major problem with the car. (I have posted my comments about this car.) Trust me, the car will get you where you need to go! I have posted comments on this website boasting my car.
As for the 115hp engine, again, I am younger, but all I feel that someone has to do is rev the engine to get power. If you let the engine lug it will seem gutless to some. These engines were born to rev!
Again I am sorry for those who have bought a Dodge Neon!
Happy motoring with your Civic!
