2006 Honda Civic LX 1.8 Gas
Summary:
Great car for someone on a budget
Faults:
Indicator where the speedometer is indicated a problem with the fuel cap twice. Took it to the dealer, the fuel cap was fine, indicator turned off within two days. Has not happened recently.
General Comments:
This car is very good on gas. It has a lot of power for a 1.8. I find it comparable to my 2006 Camry v6 surprisingly. Handling is excellent, very responsive. The brakes are very touchy compared to most cars, but it's not hard to get used to. The dashboard is laid out very well. The standard sound system is decent, but speakers should be replaced if you like your music loud. Overall no major complaints with this car. I have noticed in the last few months of owning this car, it has started to take a little longer to start cold. It'll crank normally and it'll feel like it is trying to catch, but is not getting enough fuel or something. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this with the new civic? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

To correct the hardstarting in the cold just do the following. If you notice when you put the key into the ignition there are 3 points in the process of turning the key. Turn the key 1, 2, 3 and you will see the car start with ease. Do not turn the key hard all the way to the 3rd stop. Be sure to stop at each interval individually. I hope that makes sense. My brand new 06 Civic LX was starting a little hard in the colder weather and since I changed the way I start the car it starts perfectly every time. I hope this helps!

I wouldn't worry about the cold start. Like a previous poster said, Hondas are like that.
Either way, you should always wait a second before turning the final click in the ignition (to actually start the engine). This gives the fuel pump time to activate. Recommended for most cars.
Glad you're enjoying your new Civic. Thinking of getting one myself!

I have a 2005 CRV and a 2003 Accord they both take longer to start in the cold. This is not a problem. Most Hondas do this.
