It still a good car for my family
The seat belt was defective after a year.
The automatic sliding door was having a electrical problem an other month later.
The air conditioning is not working within 3 year.
There is no problem for my friend who got the same car at the same time. She have triple more mileage than mine. May be I was not lucky.

A good one for soccer mom
Started to have problem with the sliding doors (Both side) early. The door warning “Buzz” went off when drive. Finally right side door kept “Buzzing” does not matter what I do. Brought it to dealer (at 30K mile) they changed motor, switch, junction… on the right side, and few mine adjustment on the left, no problem since then.
The rear wiper felt a part also; I had to re-tighten the nut many times. I have to add the lock washer before tighten the nut. The rear wiper is in place now.
The van made a loud clunk noise when on reverse sometimes, asked dealer and they said that was normal.
Have problem with the CD player. The fuse was blown when playing CD, one tech at the dealer told me that it might get a quarter inside. Removed the CD player and sure enough inside were a quarter and a dime (I have 2 yrs old kid), I got them both out and everything runs a normal.
Very powerful for a van, seem a little roomier than other vans. Honda sent me an extended warranty for transmissions to 100000 mile, they acknowledged this problem.
Even though that I have few more problems with this van compare to other Honda cars, I still happy with it.

We park our Odyssey on a moderately steep driveway. To prevent a "clunk" when moving transmission from park to reverse, I set the parking brake, shift to neutral, then let up on the foot brake. This causes the weight of the van to be held by the parking brake rather than the transmission. If you still have a "clunk" when shifting from park to reverse on the level, then something must be wrong with the transmission.
We have 100,000 miles on our van. I drive in D3 unless I am going 65 mph. At lower highway speeds the transmission makes a hum that might cause excessive wear over time (my hypothesis).
Honda's are always one of the best buys
Driver's side sliding door often will not open from outside nor inside. A safety hazard and a bother. Dealer has not made a permanent fix after five tries over three years. When I bring it in they wipe the track as if I were getting it dirty. I have liked Honda products, including this van, but I won't buy another one unless this problem is fixed.
This may not be a Honda problem, but my driver's side front tire will not hold pressure. Three different rim/tires have been mounted here and they all loss pressure down to below 20 PSI almost immediately. The same tires and rims work find when mounted elsewhere. No leaks can be found. Very mysterious.
I don't understand why Honda refuses to make seats a little deeper. everyone seems to be bothered with poor thigh support on all Hondas and Acuras.
Customer service at my dealer is very poor. I have started going to another one. The first one cares about nothing except pushing more high cost maintenance.

Vibration in rear brakes at 10,000 miles. Dealer replaced brakes and turned rotors twice, but squeaking brakes remained which dealer said was OK. At 55,000 miles loud grinding noise heard in rear brakes. Drums and shoes replaced.
Transmission replaced at 60,000 miles due to noises.
Engine trouble light came on at 60,000 miles. Dealer says it is the catalytic converter.
This is a very poorly designed and manufactured car with major drive train problems.
I would not recommend that anyone purchase one.

Lady, the clunk in reverse is your transmission possibly going out. You need to take it in a ensure they note that complaint on your record so when it fails you have proof of your complaint under the warranty.
