2001 Honda Passport

Summary:

Horrible car. Scary!!!

Faults:

Check engine light and gas sensor are not working properly. Car stalls at random times. Pretty scary when you are driving kids around. Need a solution from Honda. Safety is an issue here.

General Comments:

Solution from Honda. Please file all complaints to Honda @ 1-800-999-1009. Better business bureau as well.

2001 Honda Passport

Summary:

This SUV has a lot of Problems

Faults:

The Honda Passport has had a number of problems. First problem being the ABS Brakes Failed Honda sent out a recall letter asking each owner to bring their SUV in for service repair at Honda's cost. I have been reviewing other complaints on line and found where the air cooling systems have had problems this is what I am having a problem with, I only have 46,000 miles on my 2001 Passport. We called to see if the manufacture warranty would cover this problem at this time it hasn't, we have put two compressors on the passport and it still will not cool. m Has anyone had this problem if so please e-mail me. I think this is a factory problem and should be under warranty.

General Comments:

The Passport takes road bumps rough.

Your Honda is actually an Isuzu built vehicle which has a mediocre reputation at best.

Honda Passports may be manufactured by Isuzu, but they have the Honda name, the Honda logo, and at least in my case it was purchased at a Honda Dealership. This makes it a *HONDA* period. If they chose a bad business relationship to jump start their entry into the SUV market because their engineers couldn't hack it in designing an SUV, that's really too bad, but it is worse business not to back their customers.

As for the OP, the compressor went out on my A/C at 36,000 miles (1999 Pissport), though the dealer tried to convince me it was out of warranty, eventually they saw it my way.
