2000 Hyundai Accent GL
Summary:
My opinion of the Hyundai is it is nothing but trouble
Faults:
Both the passenger and driver side windows would not go up and down. So the dealer replaced the motors. This started at 17,000 miles. Have taken the car back for the same problem on 4 separate occasions. Still the passenger side window will not go up and down properly.
Kick-down Servo Switch, Inhibitor switch, and pulse generator have gone out. Not included in the 100,000 mile warranty or the extended warranty even though it is transmission related.
Also, the battery put on at the dealership is leaking.
Paint faded and was peeling and cracking had to have car repainted.
General Comments:
If there are known transmission problems at least let us know before we purchase the car.
If the ability of the windows to go up and down is a problem and cannot be fixed just step up and tell the customer.
Transmission problems are a major expense and should be covered. People buy the Hyundai with the idea (as seen on the commercial) there will be at least 100,000 miles of trouble free driving.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I don't know how much 2 quarts of oil is. But a 2 liter engine in perfect condition should "take" a maximum 100 grams of oil for 1000 km. At 200 grams needs attentinon and at 300 something is wrong.
