2001 Hyundai Accent Coupe 1.5 Liter
Summary:
It's hard to look macho in this car
Faults:
Besides the regular maintenance, nothing has broken down, yet.
General Comments:
Please note that this is my girlfriends car, not mine, but since I don't have a car, I have been in this car for about 20000 miles for rides and occasionally driving it.
When my girlfriend loans me the car, I feel that it's absolutely impossible to look macho, or tough in it (I guess the Roxy sticker doesn't help). Even a Civic could look pretty cool with a suspension drop and a body kit, but this car I don't think was ever meant to be a street car. Of course my girlfriend looks really cute in it, she being 5'1 and 90 lbs this car fits her great.
About how it performs: The acceleration seems weak on the freeway no matter what the rpm, which explains the mid 30+ miles per gallon and the handling capabilities are ample for the average driver.
The interior makes me feel like I am in a tin can. The doors are fairly thin, and the seats are not the softest things in the world, but none the less, it feels more expensive inside than the $8500 she paid for it, new.
The wrap this up, there is nothing class beating about this car, but it doesn't really have any weak spots either. It goes from A to B, cost little to run, and for the most part, seems to be holding together well.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
