2004 Hyundai Accent GT 1.6
Summary:
A very slow, reliable, transmission and oil burning piece of crap
Faults:
Very slow car does not accelerate when you push the gas. Transmission slips in first gear and slams really hard.
Burns quite some oil, but I drive 3+ hours a day everyday to work.
Puddle of transmission fluid right on top of the transmission under the air filter keeps coming out, even when I clean it up with a rag, lots of grime down there too. Constantly adding transmission fluid, and oil. I also do make trips 400 miles one way non stop and it sometimes burns a little and sometimes burns a lot. Also slows down up hills.
When first starting out, it won't shift usually into the last gear and I have to pump the gas or sometimes slow down so it goes into another gear, and then try to speed up again, and that doesn't always work.
General Comments:
It's a good car, except it won't shift all the time. Like some days it shifts like a brand new car, and then other days it won't shift. The longest time it hasn't shifted for was about 5 miles, then it finally shifted, I did smell transmission fluid when it shifted finally. Very good car though, definitely reliable.
I've had it a year and I've put almost 60,000 miles on it. Definitely worth the money I paid. I wish it would shift and I would love it. This is my second Hyundai Accent, both 2004. I also own a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon that I do not drive.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I would 100 pct agree with the first comment.
The only thing wrong with this car is the engine noise of which Hyundai should do something about it they want to maintain a good name in car manufacturing.
